Dating Safety

A good night out starts with a bit of sense. Here's how to look after yourself on Chav Match.

Never send money

No genuine member will ever ask you for money, gift cards, crypto or bank details — not for a train ticket, not for an emergency, not ever. If someone asks, stop talking to them and report the profile immediately.

Meet in a public place

  • First dates should be somewhere busy — a pub, a restaurant, a coffee shop.
  • Make your own way there and back, and keep control of how you get home.
  • Tell a mate or family member where you're going and who you're meeting.
  • Share your live location with someone you trust for the evening.
  • Keep an eye on your drink and never leave it unattended.

Protect your personal details

Keep chat on Chav Match until you're comfortable. Don't share your home address, workplace, bank details or documents. We never display anyone's exact address — only their town and an approximate distance.

Photo verification

Verified members have completed a quick selfie check to confirm their photos are really them. Look for the blue tick, and be cautious with anyone who refuses a video call.

Report and block

Every profile and conversation has report and block controls. Use them freely — you never need a reason to walk away, and the other member isn't told that you blocked them. Read our community guidelines for what we don't allow.

In an emergency

If you're in immediate danger, call 999. For non-emergencies in the UK, call 101. For confidential support you can contact Victim Support on 0808 16 89 111.
